Hi
I dont think so , I have never been called hard core except for filling a 6 foot hole in the ground.
It is just a ride out and showing off my monster.
I can ride xc for a little while and I ccould bring my camber as well but reluctant to leave with car on its own.
I have a wide collection of bikes so happy to bring the toys out to play.

No nothing wild pash, nothing worse than Sunday I promise, we can have a go at the down hill but can be done slow, I'm the same as you, one piece required, well be watching the wild ones, plenty of xc area and a couple of killer climbs
On the Bicknacre road pash

Cheers

Cool that works for me then. I will have a go at all of it and can always bottle out if the downhill is a bit heavy for me.

Hi darren
Stick up on the calender and see who else can come.
If you go the Thetford race video there are some videos of the tracks likely to come across in round 3 .

Will do, yes have looked at them, looks like plenty more of those dips and some flatter single trail and fire track with no bomb holes, :-)

Hi,
Value for money more puffs per buck , Day out (Litterally ) Slow but sure. I can do 4 laps but trying to get to five .
4 hurs for me .
If you like a good ride and it sounds like you are not a sprinter and out for fun go for it.
2 hours you just start getting going and your finished.
first lap cautious
2 nd lap go for it .
3rd lap slowing down
4 th lap had it.
Also plenty of liquid as none available.
Food optional -picknic on the way round or feed stn.

Depending on where lifts can be given .
Bob
Dazz ( Darren can give another view as he did last race . )
Not the same course , this time should be woody and berms and general xc / mtb riding.
Good one to experience.

I may go for 4hr one just because its quite a drive to Thetford and I don't wish to go all the way there for a 2hr ride. We do that around Danbury. Its the beginning I struggle with, maybe because of the lack of proper warming up and preparation. Once I get going then it will be fine. A bit like in my Sunday football days, breathing like a dog for the first 20min but then often ended up playing 2 matches in the row....this was 10yrs ago by the way.

C'mon Adam, it will be a bunch of us so it will be a giggle. I am in for the fun not for timing, the aim is to finish.

Hey Bob, are you still going to this race? I am about to book the place, I dont know who else is coming so was not sure how much fun would be riding for 4hrs on my own.

I'm not riding as I've got a feeling my bike might still have issues after last week :(
I did a real number for not much really bent mech hanger, smashed mech and bent spokes :)
I can't risk a 2 hour drive for a 10 min ride :(

Yeah, I thought that would be the case with you. It let you down twice so it makes sense.

I'm really pissed whytey only managed 8 miles cycling this year and prob 8 miles walking back to the car :)
I'm so close to the end of my studies I might as well wait it out when it's all going wrong :(
