He did that to everyone... bit disconcerting when you got your head down on a climb for someones wheel to come by at eye level

Great ride today. Most tiring one for me so far. That 3-4 mile ride home took everything i had left. I could barely stand up, had a nice hot shower, ate like a pig, had a 2-3 hour nap and all back to normal

I liked some of the new bits we did today :)

Cheers for leading and bringing cake. I only wheelie to save wearing out the front tyre

Me too... particularly the downhill bit we did uphill last weekend after getting lost, much better in the right direction ;)

Uphill wheelies... it's just that we're jealous ;)

Leading... I thought you were leading?

Worked for me.... my legs have only just about recovered :)

Mind you I didn't need an afternoon nap like some of the younger contingent ;)

Oi!

My excuses: I cycled an extra 7 miles, and the rolling resistance on my tyres is a joke. Really felt the dragging towards the end of the ride. ;)

Im now at a whopping £20 in my bank account after starving myself for lunch for 2 and a bit weeks, so a bit more and i might get myself some new tyres. Wanted some new pedals at first because mine weigh 34578689456kg and are a bit noisy, but i may aswell get something that will make a big difference.

Forgot to say thanks for the flapjacks and leading :) And thanks to all who let me have a go on their bikes, and i apologize to all who had a go on mine.

Just reading this makes me realise how I should never be allowed anywhere near you with a bike.
I had every intention of getting out of bed and coming down on Sunday, however, a late start and a puncture stopped that so instead I ventured out on my own a little later in the day. Wheelies??? UPHILL??? I couldn't even pedal uphill cos the back wheel was sliding all over the place. I don't know how you manage it, I only did about 7 very muddy miles and was completely knackered. My todo list is now....
1. Sell bike
2. Stick to the road

Maybe being a tad harsh, I'll keep the bike (for now).

There is nothing wrong with doing a wheelie... and wheelies uphill are better because it helps you improve your wheelie skill.
