Use the fatty all the time, makes such a big difference in the power in your legs.

Yes it is lol, 5 inch tyres, weighs 35lb same as your on one fatty roughly.
That was on the day i got it, its filthy and muddy now.
I did my 1 hour timed run route in a very similar time as usual, and i swear its easier on the climbs

and then the lighter beargrease on race day :-)

Is the Fatty kept in the office? That even more epic. I thought this only happens somewhere in California or BC.

No, i took it into the office to show everyone :-) no one had even heard of a fatty, let alone seen one. I keep a different one at the office, just in case i get an early day and do epping on the way home.

time to use the old saying

a fat bike is like a fat girl, they are ok till your mates see you riding one ;-)

Nice, look forward to riding it.....the bike ;-)

I must admit, I was won over the Instigator having seen it from close up at the bike show. The tyres on that are 2.75 so not quite the fatty (call it 'the slim fatty') but it certainly looked more versatile. The problem is that I already have a hardtrail and my next purchase would have been a 27.5" trail bike, not a fatty. Eh, decisions.

I can try and describe it like this
when i get off of my mtb, 29er or 26er, its normally about going quick and how well i handled or coped with the trail ( sounds like a troll lol) i feel exhilarated, excited the adrenaline is high.
when i get off the fat bike, i always get off with a great big grin, its fun, its different, its not about how fast i have just been, its about how much fun i have just had :-)
some of the fat bikes are 29+ which is a bit of a compromise.
