So Danbury was going well - had got a couple of hours done.

Been running the big line that we were running last time with some big drops and tables in it. Set off thinking (this time I am really going for it!)

Hit the second big section and got big air off balance, twisted in the air to avoid a tree trunk on the left, leading to a very sketchy landing and bang, punched the group whilst hands where still wrapped around handle bars.

Felt the breaks the moment they happened (two broken metacarpels 2cm below the knuckle). felt very wrong in the glove so did a bit of rapid straightening out of the bones whilst the adrenalin was still there, took off wedding ring, and rolled back to car, loaded the car and set off to A&E.

Wont go into too much detail of the rest but it involved 2 very broken bones (bad), Entonox / "Gas & Air" (excellent stuff), manipulation (horrible).

In plaster for 6 weeks - Arse

God dam that's a shocker mate. Heal up quick. Healing vibes healing vibes healing vibes. Which hand left or right? Well done on getting the wedding ring off in time mate before it swelled up.

Left if wedding ring on. Shit, sounds bad, wish I'd have stayed longer, then you would have gone slow and easy at my pace! Hope it mends quickly.

Sorry to hear the news. Hope you're fixed and rearing to go when the cast comes off and not too much physio needs to get back up to full strength.

Snapped bones suck

Bit of advice (I've broken enough bones)....
If you smoke, stop. It halves the recovery time.
The key to quick healing is a good supply of oxygen to the bone....

Good luck with a swift recovery :)
