Probably mould/forge marks from manufacture.

I've just seen one of those marks in one of the pics they have in the website.

£40 for two tyres that would have cost £70 :-)

Are they from the trade in deal that spesh are doing at the moment? What sizes are they and what are they like?

Yep Mat from the trade in, size is on the front in the picture, so traded in some knackered old wtb tyres for these 29x2.1

Chelmo store is massive and lots of nice bling in their.. Too many road bikes made my eyes hurt though ;-)

Had a load of 26" left...

As for what they are like.. I'll tell you after tomorrow's ride...

I sat on a 29er enduro in there this morning and felt totally at home :)
Demo day to go but I think it's my new steed :)

Picked up mine today, 29x2.3 front and 29x2.1 rear ground control. Will be interesting to see what they are like, don't seem to blow up huge but looks like a grippy (for corners), fast rolling tyre. Will report on tomorrows ride :D

Rode a good 22 miles on varied terrain today.. Tyres where ok. A good XC tyre and coped well in all conditions...

And as Nick Tonks commented today, "when was I going back to get the rest of the tyre".. Lol. As the 29x2.1 is a narrow looking tyre.. But they where fast uphills ;-)
