XT shifter... CRC were out of stock of the I spec B mount ones.

Almost done...

Just need to fit the 32t chainring and trim the rear brake hose and fit... waiting for an insert, olive and rear brake adaptor.

Nice one Martin. I had not noticed this post before. I thought you had one build and finished before I started the Piglet. Which fork option did you go for, 39 or 42.5?

I went for the 44.5cm one which gives the correct geometry for a 100mm fork ( right for the Inbred ), well that's what it says on the website and it seems to work

Yep he's noticeably quicker on it than he was on his Ridgeback, it's the first time I've had to think about keeping up after shouting at him to get on with it, but then I'm old and fat so maybe that doesn't mean much

The weight saving from the carbon fork adding to the fun factor is definitely worth the trade off against a suspension fork... at least for now. It's good to see him picking a line rather than just blundering down the trail.

I've got a Scandal frame stored away.... the plan is to move the rigid forks on to that when the Inbred gets a bouncy fork and he'll have a 'trail' bike and a lightweight xc bike for longer flatter stuff.

Hoping to get to Redbridge this Saturday... it'll be interesting to see if he's much quicker round the lap than he was on the Ridgeback.
