I'm looking into upgrading my stock whhels (recon they weigh in +2.0 kg) on my trek stache but not really sure which ones to go for, been looking around brand new and second hand, have a budget of £300 to £400. My enishal thoughts were for a set of mavic crossroc wheel (1.930Kg) but because they include tyres which i would change anyway, i wanted something a bit better valve for my money (may end up buying these from a local shop and see if they will swop the tyres ect). Anyone that knows me i ride hard so don't want an ultra light xc set but something they is more light trail (1800kgish or lower)

The only other one i have been looking at is a second hand pair of mavic crossmax st (1.710KG)

The switch hubs are made by novatec. Can be converted from 9mm qr, 10mm&12mm bolt through 135 or 142. so that gives you all the options from xc to DH
