I'd trawl Ebay mate, it's a good time of the year to get a bike there.

I bought my hybrid and mountain bike from eBay and got two year old bikes for about half their new price. You can get a bike on there from about £30 to £3,000, so it really does depend on your budget. I looked at new bikes around twice my budget in the shops to find what I wanted, then found older versions on Ebay and both turned out to be great bikes. A little bit of research was more than worthwhile.

Will you be riding only DH? Thing with DH rigs is they are abused but are used less in miles.
