By the way, where do you strap the battery pack for your CREE lights? Does the cabling get in the way when riding?

Part of the reason I like the Exposure lights is that they are clip on and go, no faffing with cables etc.

No idea but they are plenty bright enough.

as for cables and attachments, the cables can be routed nicely around the frame or stem and secured with the battery velcro strap.
As for the light mount the rubber strap that they come with are fine but i have changed mine to these hope ones.

This guy gets very good reviews. The price is higher than eBay, but lower than Exposure.

I've ordered the mtbbatteries Luminator (ordered today, and just got notification that it has been shipped). Same for the Triple Rear.
I'll post some thoughts when I use it next week.
I've not ordered a helmet light yet, but if the Lumenator is good, I'll most likley order the V2 as well.

If your only going to run one light i would put it on your lid off road, otherwise you cant see until you turn your bars.

It will be on-road for the first outing, so I will be putting it on the bars. If I like it (quality etc), then I will almost certainly order up the V2 for the Helmet.

Both combined, the price is less than the MaXx D from Exposure.

It's amazingly small. The light output is amazing.

The battery pouch fits perfectly in the X of my frame.

I also got the rear triple. Very nice bit of kit.

Yeah, I was trying it out in different positions.

It fits quite nicely on the dropper post housing where it sticks out above the frame.

Yep, running the 1000 lumon on my helmet (but with a bigger battery), and 2000 lumon on the bars. Powerful with no black spot, can run them full power for over 3.5 hours no problem now (recon 4.5 hours possible). top service when I had the head torch go wrong (after hitting a low tree one too may times), got it repaired for free.

PS stick the rear light on the back pack if you can

Just a quick update from me on the Lumenator.
It's bloody brilliant ! Superb light throw, very bright (not really sure you would need anything brighter). Drowned out my mates £50 cheapo light from Decathlon. Easy to fit, easy to charge, top quality peice of kit.
I will be getting the V2 for the helmet.
