Nice new XT hub to replace another (now 5th) cracked Saint... so now drivetrain is totally XT (XTR shifters) on the Rocky Mountain - lets see if this works...

You running 1 x 10 (or 1 x 9)? If so you may regret a 32T...

1 x 10 and I was struggling up the hills in surrey on that..

Interesting, I'm nothing like fit but I've a 1 x 10 on the Bird with a 36T and it's not a problem.

I'm rocking 34T with a 42T extender ring on my 29er hardtail, I would of thought a 36T on a 27.5" would be too high a gear, good work for your legs I bet

Really don't seem that way Matt, she's fast to accelerate and fairly easy on the legs, even somewhere like Swinley with its couple of short climbs.

Swinley has small hills as compared to Surrey. I have strong legs and after a few hours peddling around Surrey it was getting tiring going up...

I'll see what its like in difference and can always change back again to the 36, going leave getting a 42 extender of the rear for the moment.

And a bit of a bargain with a £100 off as they are powder coated rather than sprayed.... finish looks pretty good to me ;)

Somebody will come along and tell us spraying is better than powder coating or the other way around...

For now, it looks good :)
