Thorndon and Warley a real mud fest. Good to see trail pixies at work, could be some fun little sections by the spring once it all dries out.

Was over there tuesday and wednesday, deffantly a mud pit in places. I was also shocked by the number of people walking their dogs down the off-the-path bike trails

You even get them walking up the "secret" bike trails at Warley that would otherwise be jungle. Retards. Its not enough for them just to block the main paths and bridleways.

That really grinds my gears.
Spend ages hacking something out of the jungle away from all the footpaths and walkers ( so that we don’t disturb their constitutional rights to never have to share a path) ,
I go back a month later and they’re all bloody on it with those 30ft dog leashes all over the place.
I am so waiting for one of them to actual say something, rather just glaring, tutting and clutching little toto to their chest like I am carrying a chain-saw dripping blood or something.

Don’t get me wrong. I am all for a "right to roam" law change to allow access to all the land owned by our Norman ( robber-baron ) overlords, but when something is obviously a bike trail then get off it when a bike comes thru......

Every time I go to Thorndon, even when it is quiet I will get chased by at least 1 dog (with irate owner shouting "Fenton!") Although if they are off the lead thats better than getting tangled up in the 30 ft tripwire leashes.

Anyway roll on the opening of the Olympic MTB track soon so we get some good all weather/all year trails in Essex. Don't mind a bit of mud but its so sloppy there now its just not much fun, may as well stick to gravel bridleways.

Cannock Chase was nice and dry yesterday 01/03/15, great day out. Some sections still closed for logging operations and maintenance though. It did start pouring with rain as we left though.
