Although, I have chosen Magicshine as a default accessory provider for three bicycles I have in my family, but I am stuck between Mj-880 and MJ-872 LED lamp. I need something that could stay fixed on my helmet. Now, this combo is recommended with equal emphasis by users. The reviews tell me that the only difference is that of lumens. I like the new models with 6600 mAh rechargeable LI-ion battery. I never doubted Magicshine accessories. It’s just I need to pick one of these two options. I need some reviews about how low lumens or high lumens make a difference?

I use the 872 which was nice and bright but compared to a mates £30 chinese 3000 lumen its in the shadows
My 872 seems to spot more. I have used in in combo with a 300lumens electron which worked well. I'm not a night rider but any stretch imagination. The 880 looks like it may spread the beam a bit more
