Right, finally awake enough to do a little write up (the plan was to update this daily)
So after the initial extremely long day of driving up from Essex to Yorkshire and dropping 2 cars off at Robin hoods bay on the East coast we drove across the country to meet the others on the west coast at the Irish sea, We had a beautiful weather and fingers were crossed that it stayed that way.

Day 1:
So a confident start to the day, we met up, loaded the support vehicles before a short road road ride to get to a cycle path.
the paths lead right to some of the most beautiful tracks and views i have ever experienced.
Image

Image
after some gnarly rocky downs, one puncture lead to a little stop before heading to Winlatter.
Image

Winlatter - No photos, but i have Video which at some point i'll upload, Awesome downs but by god it has some climbing (well it felt like it after 22 miles to get there.
Its also the only place i have ever been where we all made a mistake on the same corner as there is a giant red arrow pointing right after a very fast section, we either over shot it or slid off or hit the speed bumps to the right too quickly. One guy came off quite badly but managed to get away with a cut knee under his knee pads?

the lakes if you havent been is just so beautiful, I will be taking the family back there at some point, i never knew england could be like this.
Image
The lower path around the lake was probably the highlight of my trip, great trail, very rocky, very technical and very steep in places.
Image
Image
After the trail came to an end, we had a long long way to get to the finish point for the day, We had been riding since 08:30, it was now 14:00 and we still had 6hrs of riding to go!

So we eventually arrived at our stop over in a little village of Kirkby Stephen, we were staying in a hostal, (for anyone that knows me, this was a bit of a shock to the system)
Anyway, we were fed and watered and rested up in our bunk beds  before heading out for what was for me the hardest day.
Day3:
A little road riding to get to the trails, which when we got to, i would of rather stayed on roads. They were over grown rights of way, no beaten path, no real sign of where to go! The Garmin really earned its value here, after 2hrs of pushing up mountain sides and pedaling up hill we reached the UK's highest pub. (No pints for us though)

We crossed the border from Cumbria to yorkshire
Image
Some more (loosly termed) road rides down to a valley that looked over the Ard Rock race area. We had 2 choices, one to continue on or one to go round the outside. One of these options was taken away by the support vehicle so we ended up doing some crazy climbing and some awesome decents.

Again Video to follow.

Eventually we ended up at our over night digs at a horrible little Motel with a Mcdonalds behind it, but as we had been talikg about Pizza all day (to keep us going) we walked a couple of miles to get some much needed calories.
Image
Day 4 was a bit damp to start off with and i think after the others with sun burn and heat fatigue, to the others it was a welcome back to normal northern weather. Luckinly it had been so dry it didnt affect our route too much.
Image
Riding up, up, up (langdon looks flat now) we made it up to a path across the tops of the North Yorkshire dales,
Image
These proved to be a great source of fun, flat out 30+mph without really losing any height and the climbs were almost enjoyable.
A quick selfie stop when we saw this
Image
and we powered on towards the coast, another 8 hrs in the saddle so slightly shorter but longer distance due to the speeds we had carried across the dales
Image
the last half of the day was spent either sitting on one bum cheek, standing, walking or complaining that everything hurt, seeing the coastline and not being at the finish yet was hard, 5 mile climb up the and around seemed to take for ever!
Eventually we made it down

I put the stats up earlier and there are 100's more photos and video's.
All i can say is we reached our target and had some fun, we worked extremely hard and kept each other going with banter and encouragement.

Would i do it again?
Something similar definitely,
Would i reccommend it to others
Of course, you get to ride places and see things you just dont see down in the south east.

For the record its 4 days after i got back, I'm still really tired and my legs are still heavy. No riding this week but i'll never complain about climbing in Langdon, Danbury or even in the surrey hills, as they are flat in comparison.
