I need to replace my rear wheel, but depending on price may replace the front too.

I’ve established (I think ;) ) I need: 26”, QR, 6 bolt, and bonus if tubeless ready.

Looking to spend no more than £200 if possible on a set. I’ve found these:

Mavic Crossone wheelset
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/mavic-crossone- ... -wheelset/

or worth spending the bit extra for the Mavic Crossride Disc?
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mavi ... prod127008

Fulcrum Red Power XL wheelset
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/fulcrum-red-pow ... -wheelset/

DT X1600
http://www.merlincycles.com/dt-x1600-26 ... 72347.html

Any ideas if any of these are any good or any other recommendations?

Thanks!

I would go with the fulcrams or the crossrides, but as the fulcrams are lighter and cheaper then that's where my money would go.

I'll do a little looking to.

Great, thanks - will take a look.
Did look at a custom build on Superstar but was a tad stumped with hub and spoke selection!

Worth a little think about, though at the moment you are running qr it might be worth going for a set of wheels that comes with adaptors to run 15mm thrule axel /142mm axel if you did a frame or fork change. Spend a bit more to save money in the long run

Rider weight, type of riding?

Superstar can also provide you with 9mm front, 10mm rear, quick release axles to stiffen your frame/forks.

I have a set of Shimano Deore XT Wheels that are true tubeless that you could have - they are centre lock but I'd let you have them for £75 and a set of centre lock rotors are only £40 or so from bike-discount.de.

I bought them for my son (Jamie - not sure you've ridden with him). I've had them trued and new bearings in the rear as it was a bit grumbly - it's still not 100% but is 99.9999 (Ask Ian he's seen them).

Here they are on CRC: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-xt-m785-mtb-disc-wheelset/rp-prod76698

They are 26" QR Rear and 15mm front.

If you don't want them or indeed don't like them then it's no bother :)

Very good option LIz, Cant remember if you have 15mm front axles though?
Dave are they interchangeable?
I have seen the wheels and are a great set of wheels.

I think they are if Liz doesn't have a 15mm front.

Shimano don't but I can see people that sell an after market solution (http://www.ebay.com/itm/MTB-Tools-Mtn-B ... 1506213175?).

What I would say is if you do need a qr on the front then I'd probably get wheels that come ready for the job (as it were). And my money would go on the Mavic CrossRide or a set of SuperStar Switch EVO Pacenti at £139.99 (http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/s ... arance.htm).

But this is a popcorn subject so you'll get a different suggestion from each of us - at end of day something will go wrong with whatever you buy so you totally have to be happy with them :)

I would go with the Superstar ones Stumpie posted (the ones Ian posted are out of stock clearence, so won't come back in stock). If you use the code '10K' you can get them for £125.99, which is bargain for wheels that weight.
