Eventually we ended up at our over night digs at a horrible little Motel with a Mcdonalds behind it, but as we had been talikg about Pizza all day (to keep us going) we walked a couple of miles to get some much needed calories.
Day 4 was a bit damp to start off with and i think after the others with sun burn and heat fatigue, to the others it was a welcome back to normal northern weather. Luckinly it had been so dry it didnt affect our route too much.
Riding up, up, up (langdon looks flat now) we made it up to a path across the tops of the North Yorkshire dales,
These proved to be a great source of fun, flat out 30+mph without really losing any height and the climbs were almost enjoyable.
A quick selfie stop when we saw this
and we powered on towards the coast, another 8 hrs in the saddle so slightly shorter but longer distance due to the speeds we had carried across the dales
the last half of the day was spent either sitting on one bum cheek, standing, walking or complaining that everything hurt, seeing the coastline and not being at the finish yet was hard, 5 mile climb up the and around seemed to take for ever!
Eventually we made it down
