Right... Now that the big round shiny hot thing (well not hot just yet) is making an appearance. I need to look at getting some new riding glasses, looking through yellow lenses all winter I need to adjust the old eyes to this sun thing.. 8-) 8-)

So what ya got in way of approvals and recommendations for Goggles and riding glasses (prefer the changeable lens type)

Happy biking :high5:

I just bought cheapo Aldi ones, still going strong although Marco gave me a pair of clear workshop glasses with supposedly scratch proof lenses.... they weren't! but i still grab these first for convenience as the aldi ones are a little flimsy, it seems bike branded ones carry a huge 'name tax' !

Used Oakley flak jackets for a couple of years now. Stay on your nose through the rough stuff, impact resistant to protect yr eyes, don't fog as much as others and interchangeable lenses from Oakley store in blue water.. Clear lenses for night rides and vr28,s for when its not dark.. Job done..

I've never found a pair of glasses or goggles I like for xc / enduro. Tried all types safety specs from work expensive bike specific ones. That's why I love my mud guard set up and run nowt on the two dusty days of the year and just live with dusty eyes :)

+1 - Well made frames, although v pricey, but v good optics. I might see if I can get some copy lenses to be honest, Oakley charge mad prices for lenses.

How do you guys rate these: http://www.eyewearoutlet.co.uk/sunglass ... -798-p6319
Been tempted to get some 'transition' type glasses before (Specialized used to do some very good ones but they stopped making them).

Hi Eccles, not sure about these glasses but I have Oakley monster dogs as my sunnies and with the transition lenses and end up wearing them indoors the lenses are so good- better from light to dark conditions

Yeah I know Ev but I'm sure they could be found a little cheaper. However, if Oakley's are as good as everyone makes out and not just a fashion statement then surely it's important to pay the most you can afford to protect you eyes (I can't afford them!). However, as we might not get any sun this year transition lenses would be pointless.

I'd rate 10/10 awesome shades, i got this model http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002EL3032/r ... wo=&hvqmt=

The lenses are fantastic, not just for the expected quality but the colour tone is amazing!

I'm loving Oakley Jawbone's myself, have a couple of pairs or lenses which seem to cope with 90% of situations.
