Had a look at the CNC nano's look nice, but limited stock of colours, good price though.

DMR's look like a good alturnative.

Think I'll see what Evans would through in when I order my bike :?: :?:

Here's hoping.........

Thanks for all the replays and advice guys & girls.
Very helpfull.

Gotta be clipless I think, especially for XC. I've ridden everything I've had in the last 19 years clipless & hate not being cliped in. Your concerns are the same as most people who haven't tried it but you'll soon get used to it & be wondering how you managed before. You learn to pedal in circles which allows you to get more power down & do it more smoothly so there's less of a torque spike ( less intermittent wheel spin ). The ball of your foot is also held in the sweet spot right over the pedal spindle so you'll just be quicker everywhere, up down & across :). Time are the best imo, they have the biggest engagement area & the spring is at the front so its easy to get in, there's plenty of float & they're also the best at shedding mud.

Well I'v ordered a pair of CNC nano's through pins.
In red to match the Norco logo on the bike (how sad :silent: )

Had an Email tonight that they'v been dispatched already.

Get the spanners out.............

Pedales arrived today, 10mins to fit.

Look very good and work even better.

First real good ride on the Norco this afternoon, just on some local bridleways.
What a ride :!: :!: :!:

Just wants you to ride faster, the gear change is so good (XT rear mech) .

And a hour of cleaning when I got back

Got to get to Thorndon or Danbury soon. Need a bike rack for the car.

Still had a blast.

Catch you all soon somewhere :high5:
